Friends of the Shop

Gregory A. Krone

Greg KroneGreg attended the Violin Making School of America in Salt Lake City, Utah. He has also done a Missouri Arts apprenticeship with Geoffrey Seitz on violin building. His violins are exclusively available through Geoffrey's shop as well as Greg's shop.

Greg has been an instructor for Irish fiddle playing at the St. Louis Irish Arts. He currently plays Irish music around the St. Louis area.

 

Geoffrey Seitz and Gregory Krone have entered into a partnership to provide sales, repairs and appraisals of stringed instruments to the people of Franklin and surrounding counties. The shop, Seitz and Krone Violinmakers, at 4187 Highway KK between Washington and New Haven, MO, offers a good selection of violins, violas, cellos, basses, and bows in various price ranges. These instruments are new and used, from an assortment of makers and companies.

The shop is open by appointment only. Call Greg at 573-237-5580 to ask questions, discuss your needs, and schedule an appointment. The selection of instruments is augmented by the entire collection of the Geoffrey Seitz, Violinmaker, shop in St. Louis, so please let us know if you have something specific in mind and we will arrange to have it brought to the shop in Franklin County.

Here's a picture of our friend Kate working on her own violin. She comes to our shop for technical advice on violins and repairs. She currently teaches guitar and violin at Huelsing Music on Watson Rd.
